What was your wedding venue search like when you were getting married?
Wedding planning has been HARD! I mean REALLY HARD! I found myself wondering a lot how people even do this on a regular day much less through a pandemic? Not only have you never done this before but we’re also supposed to do it during a pandemic? HA!!!! I don’t even like planning my own birthday party but here we go!
Stay at Home Orders Kept us… At Home
The process was definitely bumpy. Stay at home orders delayed us from going to see prospective venues, then when we WERE allowed to finally go… there were restrictions on WHO could actually attend.

Outside of the obvious hardships that came along with the pandemic…. Finding a venue in general is just so hard. was one of the hardest parts! That’s because we didn’t exactly know what we wanted BUT by going to plenty of them… we figured it out!
Wants + Needs:
BIG Windows
Natural Light
Modern + Up to date Interior
Could fit at least 100 people comfortably
An outdoor ceremony space and indoor reception space
So basically… everything a banquet hall is not… and we saw A LOT of banquet halls before we built that list! We found our perfect venue but will keep that under wraps for the next little while. If you’re not opposed to a banquet hall, you should definitely check these ones out! Our two favorites and serious contendors!
